Argentina: Important changes in corporate issues

The Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU) No. 70/2023 repealed the law on government-owned companies, the regime for mixed economy companies, and the operating regime for government-owned companies.

DNU 70/2023 also established the transformation of government-owned enterprises into private corporations.           

All these companies will be regulated by the General Companies Law, on equal terms with the rest of the companies, and will not enjoy any public prerogative.
